Built In House, Every Step of the Way
At our Warwickshire-based facility, we handle every part of the build process:
Hull Fabrication: Bespoke hulls are fabricated, welded, and inspected in our specialist workshop.
Shot Blasting: Completed hulls are shot-blasted to remove mill scale and prepare them for the next phase.
Fit Out and Painting: Boats then move to one of our fitting out workshops for bespoke interiors and finishing, with painting completed in the final stages in the paint workshop.
From bespoke hulls, sailaways, and lined sailaways, to fully fitted liveaboard vessels, we offer bespoke builds at any stage of completion.
Client Centered Design Process
Established in 2002 by husband-and-wife team David and Sharon Warner, Bluewater Boats Limited has grown to become one of the UK’s most respected and admired bespoke boat builders.
David brought with him a wealth of hands on experience as a steel boat builder. Over time, he identified the growing need for a company that could oversee every stage of the bespoke boat building process under one roof. This vision led to the creation of Bluewater Boats Limited – a place where quality, craftsmanship, and personal service come together.
Over the past 23 years, we have proudly completed a diverse range of vessels, including narrowboats, wide beams, Dutch barges, cruising barges and Thames launches. Every boat is bespoke built to meet the unique requirements of each client.
More recently, we are specialising in building bespoke electric propulsion narrowboats, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern, sustainable technology.
Whether you’re looking for a quieter cruising experience, a greener alternative, or reduced maintenance, our electric narrowboats are designed and are also built entirely in-house.
Our journey has transformed us from a father-and-son team into one of the UK’s most admired bespoke boat builders, still family managed and supported by a team of skilled professionals, all with extensive boat building experience.
