Ethereal – A 65ft 6″ x 15ft Bespoke Peniche Style Barge

Ethereal is a 65ft 6″ x 15ft truly bespoke Peniche style Barge built by us in 2018 and delivered direct to Macon in France after weighing in at 52 tons!!  Ethereal has been designed and built with a guest aft cabin, a corridor alongside the engine room housing bunk beds and exterior steps up to a huge aft sun deck area with wraparound seating.

Ethereal has a fully painted interior.  The T & G ceiling is painted white, with the cabin sides, hull sides and bulkheads in various shades of grey.  The cabinetry throughout is painted in various shades of grey, with granite work surfaces in the galley area and Samsung solid surfaces in the four bathrooms.

            

       

Ethereal is powered by a Vetus Deutz 170hp raw water cooled engine, a Vetus 14 kva 1500 rpm generator is fitted in the engine room, Vetus hydraulic dual stage 160 kgf bow thruster and Vetus hydraulic dual stage 95 kgf stern thruster are also fitted, together with a Maxwell hydraulic windlass at the bow.  A water treatment system to purify the water is installed under the bilges with easy access.  The bilges also house the water tanks, waste tank and grey water tanks.

   

     

The layout of Ethereal from bow to stern is:  Starboard bathroom, central main bedroom, portside en-suite, unity area, saloon, galley with an island unit, engine room under the wheelhouse, alongside a corridor housing bunk beds leading to the guest aft cabin with a starboard en-suite and a portside bathroom.

      

    

The bow deck is fitted with a storage locker each side topped with sapele T&G boards with cushioned seating.  The stern deck is fitted with a gas locker and a storage locker together with the U shaped cushioned seating area, all topped with sapele T&G boards in high gloss.  A sapele multi functional table is also fitted on the stern deck.

        

The sapele hardwood collapsible wheelhouse houses a hydraulic roof that can be lowered to cruise under low bridges with the addition of two Webasto sunroofs and four solar panels.  The wheelhouse interior is lined entirely in sapele T & G with Flexiteak flooring and steps.  There is also Flexiteak fitted to the bow deck and aft deck.
